Simple Homebrewing: Great Beer, Less Work, More Fun
Boulder, Colo. • May 28, 2019 – Simple Homebrewing, the latest release from Brewers Publications®, returns homebrewing to the fundamentals by reducing the complicated steps for making beer at home. Authors Drew Beechum and Denny Conn explore easy techniques for directing water, malted barley, hops, and yeast (along with a few odd co-stars) to become beer along with tips and tricks for overcoming a range of brewing challenges.
Featuring fun and expert advice, Simple Homebrewing helps amateur brewers develop a simple, thoughtful brewing process and makes homebrewing more accessible and enjoyable.
"One of the biggest brewing obstacles is balancing the constraints of everyday life and finding time to focus on the craft. Our mission is to help encourage brewers to focus in on making great beer and get rid of all the extraneous stuff that takes up time," said Conn.
Each with two decades of homebrewing experience, Beechum and Conn have been collaborators for years. The pair authored Experimental Homebrewing and HomeBrew All-Stars, and co-host the Experimental Brewing podcast.
Beechum also authored The Everything Homebrewing Book and The Everything Hard Cider Book. He has written for Zymurgy® and Beer Advocate magazines. Conn was a contributing author to Craft Beer for the Homebrewer. Conn is a nationally ranked Beer Judge Certification Program judge and his homebrew recipes have been brewed by several commercial breweries in both the United States and Europe.
